Considering all the above information, skippers and crew are reminded that an Australian Sailing number is required to race, so it is the perfect time to ensure you and your crew's BPYC membership is renewed to gain or retain your Australian Sailing number. Note that the club is still one of the most cost effective clubs to join on the harbour and has waived the ‘joining fee’ for new members.

Safety audits
One of the conditions of entering a BPYC race series, as either a series entrant or a casual entrant, is to have a current Category 7 Safety Audit, as well as comply with the BPYC Addendum in relation to equipment for the category of race they are entering. (The Spring and Autumn Series are in enclosed waters - Cat 7 races).

As mentioned in previous correspondence, the Cat 7 or CAT 4 Equipment Audit and Additional BPYC Safety Amendment forms and actual audits must be completed and lodged with the club by the 31st August 2024.  They will then be current (valid for 12 months from your previous Audit). Please book your Equipment Audit inspection for the 2024-2025 season.

If you have any queries, please contact me on 0416 093 215 or by email. A Safety Audit can be booked by sending an email to bluespointyc@gmail.com attention to the Commodore..

Courses for 2024-2025
Your Committee has updated the Sailing Instructions and the BPYC Calendar, both are here on the BPYC website.

We have added the Cannae Point course to the options this season as Course 7.  You can follow this link to full list of courses for 2024-2025.

Raffle
Don’t forget the raffle every Thursday night at the Blues Point Hotel, with 10 meat trays to be won each week, as well as the chance to win the cash jackpot. You can also enjoy a fine pub meal while participating in the raffle.

Come along and support the raffle which is the club's primary source of income and allows the club to maintain low membership fees for every member and substantial prizes for each race.  (And remember that if you help run two raffles, you receive a food/beverage voucher).

Post-race Prize Giving and catch-up: Prizegiving will take place in the Blues Point Hotel from 1700 hrs.

Whether you are racing on Sunday or not, please join us at the Blues Point Hotel for the post-race prize giving, analysis and catch-up.

Looking forward to a great 2024-2025 season where I hope to see you on the water and back at the Clubhouse (ie., Blues Point Hotel) after Sunday's race for the prize giving and we can all say hello.

Cheers,
Carl Braden
